Junior Lions rewarded
NOORAT Terang Cricket Club celebrated its junior players with a presentation night last week.

All three sides were well represented on the night, with several awards presented.
Max Heffernan was named the Lions’ under 17 Cricketer of the Year and also took home the batting award with 215 runs at 35.8.
Isaac Byron was next with 107 runs, followed by Sam Lillico on 102.
Charlie Roberts took 11 wickets at 21, with Sam Lillico and taking seven wickets also at 21.
Isaac also took six catches to win the fielding award, while the coaches’ award went to Jordie Bailey and the most improved to Sam Lillico.
In the under 15s, Flynn Gleeson was named the side’s Cricketer of the Year.
Flynn also won the batting award with 114 runs followed closely by Jack Farrell on 105.
The bowling award went to Hugh Kenna, fielding Lucia Clarke, coaches’ award Jack Farrell and most improved Riley McIntosh.
In the under 13s, Ollie Clarke won both the Cricketer of the Year and the batting with 147 runs averaging 29.4.
He finished just ahead of Liam Kenna 140 runs averaging 128.
The bowling award went to Noah Conheady with six wickets at 19.17.
Brad Wallace won the fielding award with five catches.
The side’s most improved was Ned Abbott, coaches’ award Liam Kenna and Braxton Sachs also received a most improved award.
