Junior Ranger fun for holidays
LOCAL youngsters will have the opportunity to get more familiar with the local environment these school holidays.
The popular Parks Victoria Junior Rangers program is on again these school holidays, with a number of activities along the coast which include:
Flora Explorer, 10am on Thursday, July 4 at the Port Campbell beach;
Wildlife Detectives, 10am on Friday, July 5 at the Port Campbell Beach; and
Beach Treasure Hunt, 10am on Tuesday, July 9 at Wild Dog Cove.
All Junior Rangers activities are led by a Parks Victoria Ranger to encourage families to explore parks and create lifelong connections with nature.
Families can learn all about wildlife, plants, micro-critters, bushfires, marine life, heritage, culture, and more.
Junior Rangers activities are free to participate in and are designed for primary school aged children. Activities take place in parks across Victoria during the school holidays.
Bookings are essential for the activities, with number limited for each session.
Attendees must wear sturdy closes-toe shoes and appropriate clothing.
