Juniors hone their skills
WITH the region’s bowls season ramping up, the West Coast Wizard junior teams have had their first practice.
Belle B, Rhys Jeffs, Wil B and Tarryn Dogherty are looking forward to the upcoming bowls season.
WITH the region’s bowls season ramping up, the West Coast Wizard junior teams have had their first practice.
The Derrinallum Bowling Club has recruited three new juniors this year and they all enjoyed their first training day at Warrnambool, where they worked on mat skill, foot placement and delivery of the bowls.
Belle B, Wil B and Tarry Dogherty all enjoyed a great day, along with other juniors from district club.
A junior squad will be selected in the near future.
Rhys Jeff has been appointed the region’s coordinator this year and said he was impressed with the turn out on the day, and is looking forward to working alongside the juniors and encouraging them with their bowls.
