FUNAKOSHI Karate’s international tournament squad has brought home a swag of medals from this year’s state titles.
The team recently competed at the National All Styles State Championships at Doncaster, enjoying success across a range of categories.
Jill Cole added to her medal collection with a first in both the veteran kata and veteran continuous events, silver in open black belt kata, open age black belt continuous mark and novice kata, and bronze in open age black belt point sparring and novice point.
Mark Cole also performed well at the championships, bringing home a silver medal in novice kata and a bronze in novice point.
In the team kata division Jill Cole, Tobi Cole and Chelsea Wright performed well to finish with a bronze medal.
Chelsea also finished third in the 14-15 years forms category.
