Kids Matter makes kids the focus
TIMBOON P-12 School held its annual Kids Matter Week recently.

TIMBOON P-12 School held its annual Kids Matter Week recently.
School teacher Ellen Podbury said the focus of the week was to improve the wellbeing of students.
“Students from Prep to Year 12 were involved in a range of activities including excursions to Bounce and Warrnambool, and many guest presenters,” she said.
Programs and activities for the week included:
Presentation by Enlighten Education for students in Year 7-10;
Warrnambool Police community engagement officer John Keats spoke about his role and how to keep safe online;
Primary students did healthy lunches;
Bush dancing and hip hop classes;
Visit from Timboon and District Healthcare Service community health nurse Amanda Nash;
Grade 5-6 students went lawn bowling; and
Year 11-12 students had a wellbeing day in Warrnambool.
