TERANG College will be well represented at the greater western region swimming finals next week.

The school will send a team of six students to Tuesday’s event after each won their events at house and district levels.

Year 10 students Edward Delaney and Ben Carlin will both compete in the 16 year boys section, with Edward racing in the 50 metre backstroke and Ben in the 50 metre freestyle and butterfly.

Sisters Lynley and Jackenzie Sharp will both compete in the multi-class events; with Lynley in the 14 year-old girls’ freestyle, backstroke and breastroke events and Jackenzie in the 12/13 year-old girls freestyle, backstroke and breastroke.

Year 6 students Harpa McMaster and Chloe Clifford will both compete in the 11 year-old girls’ 50m butterfly.

Harpa finished fourth and Chloe sixth at the combined primary division swimming carnival in Warrnambool last Thursday where the top six qualified for regionals.

This will be the first time Harpa has competed at regional level while Chloe competed in the same event at regional swimming last year.
