Last chance tickets

ONLY days remain to snatch up last minute raffle tickets for a chance to share in $4500 prizes while supporting students at St Colman’s Primary School.
Raffle coordinator Jane Lee said the school had so far sold 324 tickets, which while below the target of 600 tickets, presented an opportunity for last minute purchasers to have great odds of winning.
First prize is a $3000 voucher at Scott’s Betta Home Living, Mortlake, second prize is a $1000 Acciona Neighbourhood Benefits Card which can be spent in Mortlake or Terang, and third prize is a $500 voucher at Bates IGA supermarket, Mortlake.
Raffle ticket sales received a welcome boost last week with students braving the elements to shake the tins at Clarke’s Café, Bates IGA and the Western Victoria Livestock Exchange saleyards.
“It was fantastic, and such a good experience for the kids,” Ms Lee said.
Proceeds from the raffle will go towards covering the school’s basketball court with a soft surface.
The project follows the success of the inaugural raffle last year, from which proceeds went towards building an undercover area over the court.
Ms Lee encouraged anyone considering a last-minute purchase to help get behind the raffle.
“It’s a great prize with great odds of winning, and you’re supporting a great cause at St Colman’s Primary School,” she said.
The raffle will be drawn next Monday, June 20.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.trybooking.com/events/landing?eid=892049 or through the school’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/scmortlake.
