It was a tough day for the Demons, leading most of the day, only to go down by 2 points in the last minute of the match against Tatyoon last weekend.

Demons coach Alec Wiltshire said it was disappointing for the boys but you couldn’t fault their efforts.

If the siren had only gone six seconds earlier they would have gone home winners.

“The third quarter was probably the most pleasing quarter we have played all year,” Wilshire said.

“If you were a bystander at the match you go to see a great spectacle.

“Kicking six goals to nothing in the third quarter, against a really good side in the competition, just show the boys can work under finals pressure.”

Final scores last weekend were Tatyoon 14.9.93 to Lismore Derrinallum 14.7.91.

Best for the Demons were Brodie Doolan, Michael Lockyer, Charlie Brett, Rory Nunn and Jack Atkins.

Goals went to Michael Lockyer (6), Jesse Gallichan (2), Rory Nunn (2) and Beau Ketchen, Will Langley, Jack Pitts and Liam Rigby.

The Demons will face Woorndoo Mortlake this weekend at Macarthur.

During the home and award season the Demons have won both rounds against the Tigers.

“The Tigers will be full of confidence coming off a good win on Sunday, they are also starting to get some of there players back as well,” Wiltshire said.

“It wont be an easy game by any stretch of the imagination, and we will need that same performance we had last week to get over the line.

“We will iron out a few little things in practice this week, so last week’s situation doesn’t happen again.”
