COBDEN’S Michael Koroneos has taken out the reserves’ leading goal kicker award for Hampden League.

The talented 19 year-old full-forward booted 44 majors for the home and away season, making him a clear winner for the 2022 award.

Despite missing one game through injury and another three to senior games, Koroneos said he was “pretty happy” with his season.

“I knew I would be amongst it with a couple of games to go but it was pretty exciting to win the award,” Koroneos said.

“I’ve played all my junior footy with the Bombers and I’m keen to go again next year.

“We (the reserves) finished fifth and made it to the second week of finals but lost to Koroit. Hopefully we can make it all the way next season.

“Cobden is a great club to be involved with; it’s family friendly and everyone is very welcoming.”
