Life membership for Lisa
TERANG Swimming Club stalwart Lisa Chesshire has been rewarded for years of dedication with a life membership.
Lisa has worked tirelessly for the club for more than 15 years and was last weekend presented with her life membership by Swimming Victoria representatives, Jess O’Brien and Muriel Aberline.
Despite last Sunday’s mild conditions, 115 swimmers competed across 44 events at the Terang Club’s annual swimming carnival.
More than 300 people enjoyed the day, which included handicapped events for ages six years through to adults.
Competitors travelled from as far as Lara to help make the carnival a success.
The committee extended its thanks to the lane and event sponsors and to local businesses who donated to the raffle.
Funds from the raffle and barbecue lunch will go towards equipment and other costs.
