A NOSTALGIC trip to 1960s Australia is on the cards for audiences next week as Camperdown Theatre Company (CTC) presents ‘Away’ by Michael Gow.

Directed by CTC stalwart Graeme Bennett, the play deals with loss, grief, healing and redemption as three families are thrown together after a torrential storm brings them to the same beach on the Gold Coast.

CTC president Toby McKenzie is interested to see how audiences react to the drama.

“Following on from the success of ‘The Panto Puzzle’ earlier this year we are continuing on the path less taken in recent times by presenting a drama,” he said.

“Graeme directed the same play 30 years ago and is now revisiting it with a new enthusiasm.

“The cast are very talented and it is certainly a thought-provoking piece”.

Set for 7.30pm on November 3, 4 and 5 at the Theatre Royal in Camperdown, tickets to the drama are $25 including a light supper.

Bookings can be made at Laffs, 163 Manifold St, Camperdown, phone 5593 1469 or online at www.camperdowntheatrecompany.com.au.
