Line honours for Wallace
TALENTED Warrnambool-based runner Ben Wallace has taken line honours in the Terang and District Lions Club’s Noorat to Terang Fun Run and Walk.

TALENTED Warrnambool-based runner Ben Wallace has taken line honours in the Terang and District Lions Club’s Noorat to Terang Fun Run and Walk.
In hot conditions last Friday night, Wallace crossed the finish line in a time of 19:21 to take first place, with Rhys Buck the first local male home.
Wallace’s time also saw him take out the veteran’s (40-49yrs) title, while Richard Wade was the first veteran (50+) to finish in a time of 21:26.
Jacan Brookes won the under 18 division, while Charlie Kenna finished first in the under 15 category and Quinn Clark first for the under 13s.
In the women’s division, Ellie Price was the first female across the line, with Lisa Rhodes winning the veterans’ 40-50 years and Jill Porter veteran’s 50+.
Porter was also the first local female home.
Other winners in the female category included Jess Bell (under 18), Rose Beasley (under 15) and Nikaiah Murfett (under 13).
Despite the warm conditions, more than 300 entrants took part in the 40th running of the 5.92 kilometre event.
