THE Noorat Terang Lions continue to impress in the Warrnambool and District League, with last weekend’s victory making it three from three.

The Lions are fast making their mark in the division two competition, with wins against Nirranda (round one), Merrivale (round two) and Allansford Panmure last Saturday.

Winning the toss and electing to bat, the Gators put on a creditable 182 runs from 45 overs, with the Lions’ Isaac Kenna effective at the crease taking 4-32 from nine overs.

Gus Bourke also had a good day out, taking 2-28 from nine while wickets also fell to Charlie Scanlon and Tim Keane.

Not fazed by the run chase, the Lions’ Gus Bourke was strong with the bat, reaching an unbeaten 92 in the Lions’ 6/183 in reply.

Young opener Ned Roberts added 16 to the board while Bailey Kavenagh contributed 34 and David Conheady 10.

Round four will see the Lions take on neighbours Mortlake at Terang this Saturday.
