Lucky escape for Derrinallum woman
A DERRINALLUM woman has had a lucky escape after being involved in a single-vehicle accident on Darlington-Camperdown Road earlier this week.

Camperdown Police acting sergeant Don Camilleri said police were still investigating the events which caused a Mitsubishi Outlander to leave the road and roll.
“We’re still investigating the cause at the moment,” he said.
Police were alerted to the accident just outside Camperdown at approximately 3.15pm on Tuesday afternoon, June 29.
The woman, believed to be aged in her 50s, had become trapped in the vehicle.
After arriving at the scene, police found the vehicle resting on its passenger side door.
“We spoke to a witness at the scene who gave us a debrief on what happened,” act sgt Camilleri said.
“At this stage we won’t know more until we speak with the driver of the vehicle, which at this stage we have not been able to do (Wednesday afternoon).”
Victoria State Emergency Services members worked to free the woman, who was transported to hospital with suspected broken ribs.
“We had two police units respond to the scene from Camperdown and Cobden, in addition to support from the Country Fire Authority, Victoria State Emergency Service and Ambulance Victoria,” act sgt Camilleri said.
Motorists were urged to remain vigilant at all times while driving.
“Please drive to the conditions,” act sgt Camilleri said.
