Lucky Pot of Gold winners announced
ST Patrick’s Primary wrapped up its inaugural 'Pot of Gold' raffle last Friday.
The raffle was run by the school Parents and Friends Committee and was spearheaded by Laura Woodmason and Rochelle Pekin.
The school celebrated by participating in a national Green and Gold day.
Throughout the week children completed Olympic-focused learnings with some year levels participating in the 'Potato Olympics’.
The raffle culminated in a school trivia night which saw the school full of parents and friends in their green and gold.
The trivia night was won by Pink Freud.
The fundraising efforts helped raise more than $10,000 to contribute to the new school building which looks set to be complete in term four.
The raffle was sponsored by local businesses including the gold sponsors R.L Blake and Pre-Mix Concrete and silver sponsor Pollard Electrical Contracting.
The prizes were developed to keep the money spent locally in the Shire.
St Patrick’s School thanked all of the sponsors and individuals who contributed to the fundraising initiative.
Congratulations to the winners of the raffle:
First prize - The Powling Family, a $2000 shopping spree;
Second prize - Kristen Gee, a $1000 shopping spree; and
Third prize - Steve Sinnott, a $500 shopping spree.
