TWO motorbike riders have been transported to hospital following a suspected collision on the Princes Highway on Wednesday.

Camperdown police Senior Constable Nathan Hunt said two solo motorcycle riders travelling in a convoy on the Princes Highway, near the MacKinnons Bridge Road turnoff, were believed to have collided at around 12.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.

“Police attended a collision in which we believe one solo has lost control, veering off highway,” he said.

“Another solo rider has then struck the rider of the first solo.

“The first male, aged in his 50s, was transported to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne with serious injuries but in a stable condition.

“The second was believed to have sustained minor injuries and was taken to Warrnambool Base Hospital via ambulance.

“Traffic was diverted while attending the scene and the cause of collision is currently under investigation.

Ambulance Victoria, Police Victoria and Regional Roads Victoria all attended the scene.
