Matthew Guy calls in for lunch

LEADER of the Opposition Matthew Guy stopped in at Cobden last week for a lunch meeting with local business representatives.

Mr Guy was excited to meet the local business community from Cobden and surrounding towns and acknowledged the key issues raised on the day were faced by many small communities and businesspeopleacross Victoria.

Issues raised at the luncheon included: labour shortages housing shortages and costs as a result of increased red tape and taxes.

Polwarth MP Richard Riordan also acknowledged having excellent education opportunities and the best health and aged care system were key priorities to ensure small towns continued to thrive and attractyoung families.

He said the Liberal Party were “committed to providing good common-sense policy and funding to ensure small communities like Cobden grow and prosper”.
