TERANG table tennis player Colin McSween has defended his A grade champion status.

Callum went through his half of the recent round-robin tournament undefeated, with wins against Daryl Burns in three games, Akas in four games, Tyler Smith in three and Colin Venn in four.

Every player had to play four singles matches as there was two sections in each grade, with the best finishing player going through to the grand final.

Charlie Kenna went from last season’s B grade runner-up to B grade champion.

He was undefeated after winning all three games against Ganga Aryal, Alex Rotchford, Keegan Brandrup and Prue Lourey.

In the other section, Mohan Bam won his way through undefeated – winning against Basu in four games, Ian Rotchford in four, and Sam and Max Heffernan in three games.

The grand final was a great contest between Charlie and Mohan, with Charlie winning 12-10, 9-11, 11-9 and 11-8.

Table tennis will have a break during the school holidays.
