Michael Emerson to run for council
CAMPERDOWN’S Michael Emerson has announced he will stand for the Corangamite Shire Council Central Ward by-election.

CAMPERDOWN’S Michael Emerson has announced he will stand for the Corangamite Shire Council Central Ward by-election.
Speaking with WD News this week, he paid tribute to councillor Wayne Oakes, whose recent death made the by-election necessary.
“I’ve decided to nominate for the position. It’s come about through tragic circumstances with Wayne’s passing,” he said.
“I’d like to acknowledge his contributions over many years; not only with council but the wider community.”
Mr Emerson said he has experience with Corangamite Shire as the former manager economic development and tourism.
