Mild conditions greet golfers
MILD winter conditions greeted 15 players who competed in a stablefood, silver spoon final and round three of the Marion Brophy at Terang Golf last week.
The ladies’ winner was Margie Driscoll with 36 points on a countback from Marion Venn on 36.
The men’s winner was Peter Hrabar with 36 points, followed by runner-up Stephen Arundell on 34.
Balls down the line went to Jenny Meade 32 points, Cate Glennon 31 and Terry Beasley 30.
Nearest the pins: 3rd Cate Glennon, 9th from off the green Marion Venn and 11th Terry Beasley.
Well done to Marion Venn who was the winner of the silver spoon final.
She will now compete in Melbourne for the overall final of this event.
Next week’s competition will be stroke, the sixth round of the monthly medal and putting.
