TALENTED Lismore all-rounder Clint Dudman last month celebrated his 200th senior game.

While Dudman was unable to celebrate a victory on the day with his division one team-mates, he did manage “a few quiet beers back at the clubrooms afterwards and dinner at the pub.”

“Lismore is a great cricket club and I’ve been playing with them since I was a young teenager in the under 16s,” Dudman said.

“We didn’t have a win on the day unfortunately but we are in a good position at the moment and are hopeful of playing finals this season.”

Playing in the Grenville Cricket Association, the Lismore Oddfellows currently sit in the top five on the league ladder and Dudman believes that if they can get a full side, they are a “real chance” of finals.

“Like so many clubs in the western district, harvest is a busy season for many players and that restricts player availability,” he said.

“But once we’re back to full strength I’m sure we will be right up there (with the best sides). That’s our aim.”

Dudman’s time at the crease on his 200th game was an effective one, knocking five boundaries in his 34-run contribution.

Lismore finished the day on 188, eight wickets short of Haddon’s 2/188.

“It’s a great social club (Lismore) and I really enjoy my time there,” Dudman said.

“I’ve been club captain and vice-captain over the years and with three young kids also showing an interest in the sport I’m sure we’ll be involved as a family heading into the future.”
