Mills wins championship
Ron Mills has taken out the A grade championship title at the Terang Bowling Club.
Mills led comfortably from the start to defeat Dan Morrison 25-7, recording his fourth A grade win.
Two former champions, Clare Pearson and Helen Kenna, met in the women’s A grade final.
Clare got off to an early lead, but in hot and steamy conditions Helen gradually made up the deficit and went on to win 25-17.
The closest match of the day was the men’s B grade, played between Noel Uebergang and Glen Newton.
They battled neck and neck all day until Noel finally triumphed 25-23 after 30 ends.
The women’s B grade was played between Judy Walters and Maureen Kenna.
Judy took an early lead and Maureen gradually pegged her back but couldn’t make up the deficit, with Judy running out the winner, 25-10.
