Mobile services to arrive

LOCALS will have a chance to access a host of government services without leaving their towns.


On the move: Services Australia’s Mobile Service Centre will be visiting towns in the south west over the coming weeks.

Services Australia’s Mobile Service Centre – dubbed Blue Gum – will be visiting towns in Corangamite and Moyne Shire over the coming weeks.

Blue Gum will be visiting the following areas:

Terang – Wednesday, May 1 from 9am to 4pm near the Terang Civic Hall, Mary Bradshaw Avenue.

Mortlake – Thursday, May 2 from 9am to 3pm near the Mortlake Library on Dunlop Street.

Mobile Service Centres are 20 tonne trucks operated by staff from Services Australia, providing regional and rural Australians with friendly face-to-face service and tailored support.

Staff on board Blue Gum this trip will be able to help residents with Centrelink claims, Medicare registrations and accessing online services.

Information about the National Disability Insurance Scheme and Department of Veterans’ Affairs programs and support services will also be available.
