UPCYCLED furniture is being given a new lease on life thanks to one of Timboon’s newest residents.
Julie Mills – who owns My Rustic Home in Timboon - moved to the area late last year.
“I opened two weeks before Christmas,” she said.
“I love Timboon – it’s a great place to live.
“I love the quiet; people were really nice when I first got here.”
My Rustic Home is located in shop number 2, 5 Main Street Timboon and is open Thursday to Saturday between 10am to 2pm.
Ms Mills has a collection of upcycled furniture and décor pieces for sale which have been carefully chosen and reflect a number of price points.
She said she also has a line of giftwares which includes free gift wrapping.
“I’m very interested in having other artists and creative people sell their items here,” Ms Mills said.
“I’ve got one lady that sells paper machete products.”
Finding a way to pass the time during COVID started her love of upcycled furniture.
“I’ve just been learning as I go along,” Ms Mills said.
“I just find pieces I think are interesting and different to what other people are selling.”
