New ramp to open access

Corangamite Shire Council manager assets planning John Kelly said council had started building a permanent access ramp.
“Establishment of the ramp is supported by both the RSL and Heritage Victoria,” he said.
“Works will be completed prior toANZAC Day.
“For previous remembrance ceremonies council has been required to install a temporary ramp at the memorial for access.
“This new ramp will provide year-round access.”
The ramp has been designed to haveminimal impact on the historical monument and meets Heritage Victoria guidelines.
The project is funded by the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program.
