CORANGAMITE Shire residents have just days to nominate a local legend from their community for a community award as part of next year’s Australia Day ceremony.
Nominations for the shire’s Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the year and Community Event of the Year awards will close on Monday, October 28.
Community members are invited to nominate inspirational Corangamite Shire residents and groups to say thank you for their contributions in the past year or over a long time.
The awards will be presented as part of the Corangamite Shire Australia Day activities at the Theatre Royal in Camperdown on Sunday, January 26 in 2025.
Nomination forms and guidelines are available at corangamite.vic.gov.au/CommunityAwards or by calling council on 5593 7100.
Details of the entertainment and guest speaker will be confirmed closer to the date.
