THIRD-placed Panmure proved too strong for Timboon last weekend.

Still searching for that elusive second win of the season, the Demons showed some good passages of play on their home ground last Saturday but were unable to overcome the fast-moving Bulldogs.

After a low-scoring first half, the visitors went into the main break with a 29-point lead.

This was extended in the third term when they booted five goals while containing the Demons to two.

A scoreless final term from the Demons saw them go down by 72 points on the siren.

Final scores were Panmure 14.15.99 to Timboon 4.3.27.

Ben Harding was solid in front of goals and kicked three while Sam Negrello contributed one.

Best for the Demons were Ash Hunt, Henry Stansfield, Charlie Trotter, Craig Dower, Harding and Mitchell Wallace.

Timboon’s reserves also found the going tough against Panmure on the weekend, with the final scores 9.5.59 to the Demons’ 3.5.23.

Christopher Moutray, Adrian Jilich, Steven Crees, Sullivan Wallace, Jeremy Doolan and Bradley Little were best for the home side while Moutray and Tyler Thorburn both scored.

Timboon’s under 18s had the bye round.

Timboon’s A grade netballers fought hard but lost by 11 goals, 43-54.

Other netball results were as follows:

A reserve – Timboon defeated Panmure 38-36.

B grade – Timboon lost to Panmure 23-54.

17 and under – Timboon lost to Panmure 24-35.

15 and under – Timboon lost to Panmure 9-17.

13 and under – Timboon lost to Panmure 16-21.
