Pathway upgrade for Botanic Garden
MEMBER for Western Victoria Gayle Tierney recently visited Camperdown to view how a $50,000 investment will ensure the idyllic Botanical Gardens can be enjoyed by all.

The Botanic Gardens recently received the investment as part of the State Government’s Tiny Towns Fund, which aims to back projects in rural and regional towns with a population of fewer than 5000.
The funding at the Botanic Gardens will support the delivery of a new pathway system.
This upgrade will deliver an even pathway which is easier to walk on and suitable for mobility aids, improving accessibility for the community.
Ms Tierney said the funding would ensure the Botanic Gardens could be enjoyed by all.
“Through the Tiny Towns Fund, we’re investing $50,000 to support a new pathway system in the Camperdown Botanic Gardens,” she said.
“I visited the Camperdown Botanic Gardens this week to see firsthand how the project will improve safety and accessibility in the gardens, ensuring the whole community can enjoy them year-round.
“We’re helping our tiniest towns reach their full potential with so many community-driven projects that will upgrade local facilities and encourage more visitors to Victoria’s fantastic regions.”
The new pathway system at the Botanic Gardens is among 188 projects being brought to life across in regional communities through the first round of the Tiny Towns Fund.
Successful projects celebrate each community’s local spirit and will drive visitation to these vibrant towns.
Another round of the Tiny Towns Fund is due to open later in the year.
