SIMPSON and Cobden primary school students have let their creativity shine in the annual Lions Peace Poster competition.

The Simpson and District Lions Club attended both Cobden and Simpson Primary Schools for the judging of the Lions Peace Poster recently.

Judge Sue Stevens commented on how pleasing it was to see so many entries on the theme of Peace through compassion.

Simpson and District Lions Club member Biddy Weel said many of the children at Cobden also wrote an essay on the meaning of their poster.

She said the winning posters would be taken to Horsham for judging against other schools in the Lions District on November 4

“At this time the children were very aware of the meaning of peace in the world,” Mrs Weel said.

“Simpson Primary School president will present each child in both schools with a certificate of appreciation for entering the competition.”
