Perfect weather for golf

PERFECT weather conditions greeted golfers for the stroke competition at the Terang course last Thursday.

Maureen Bond had the winning score of the day with 101-29-72.

Runner-up was Margie Driscoll 96-22-74 on a countback from Stephen Grinter 91-17-74.

Balls down the line went to Stephen Grinter 74, Billy Wood 78 and Aileen Clarke 78.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Clare Pearson, 9th from off the green Bruce McLennan and 11th Stephen Grinter.

The finals of the Western District Pennant were played at Portland last weekend.

Terang Ladies went down in the division one final, 4-1.

Congratulations to the Terang ladies for making the grand final for the third consecutive year which is a super effort.
