Peterborough road works
FROM this month, Regional Roads Victoria crews will carry out site establishment, investigations and then pavement rehabilitation works along a section of the Great Ocean Road near Peterborough.
These works will take about one month to complete, weather permitting.
The Great Ocean Road will be closed east of the Bay of Islands, and west of the Bay of Martyrs between Wednesday, November 6 (today) and Wednesday, December 4 while crews undertake construction work.
This is to ensure the safety of road users and work crews.
A detour will be in place via Old Peterborough Road and traffic management will be on site.
Access to the Bay of Martyrs and Bay of Islands will be maintained.
Crews will work between 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and on some Saturdays until 1pm.
Motorists are asked to look out for changed traffic conditions, plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
Timing of these works may be subject to change due to weather conditions.
Contact Regional Roads Victoria with any queries on 1800 105 105, or by email to contact@bigbuild.vic.gov.au.
