Pharmacy disruptions expected
CUSTOMERS visiting the Camperdown Healthsave Pharmacy may notice building works over the next two months.

CUSTOMERS visiting the Camperdown Healthsave Pharmacy may notice building works over the next two months.
The pharmacy will be conducting renovations as part of the installation process for a new dispensing robot.
Camperdown Healthsave Pharmacy owner Sarah Venn asked customers to be patient during the works.
“For over 12 months we have been planning for the installation of a dispensing robot,” she said.
“It will mean that there’s going to be a bit of chaos in the pharmacy over the next seven or so weeks whilst we do a bit of renovating.
“In that time, we ask people to bear with us as we work around renovating and builders and moving things in the pharmacy.”
The dispensing robot is being made in Germany and will be shipped to the pharmacy in pieces that will need to be reconstructed, which is expected to take around a week to complete.
Ms Venn said the dispensing robot is designed to help streamline pharmacy script dispensing processes, and not to make people lose their jobs.
“We’ll be able to offer more professional services in our pharmacy,” she said.
“We’ll be more help to the customers on the floor, we’ll be able top help with vaccinations and blood pressure monitoring, medicine use etc.
“No-one will be replaced, but it will assist us; instead of putting stock away, they’re going to be helping customers, which is what we’re all about and what we love to do.”
The dispensing robot will be installed at the end of August.
