Play off for monthly medal
SOME good scores were recorded at the Timboon Golf Club last week.
Results from last Wednesday’s stroke/monthly medal saw Susanne Wallace and Sophie Bowker finish on the same nett score and will now play off for the monthly medal.
Last week’s winner was Susan Wallace on 106-33-73 while Sophie Bowker was the runner-up on a countback, 98-25-73.
Balls down the line: Steph Delaney 108-32-76.
Nearest the pin: 7th (second shot) Debbie Norton, 10th (second shot) Lynne Newton, Nutrien ball 13th Susanne Wallace.
Last Saturday members played a stroke round for the monthly medals.
A grade was won by Geoff Norton with nett 72, followed by Chris Huffadine and Rodney Edge both on 74.
The B grade monthly medal winner was Percy Gillin with nett 71, followed by Norm Hardingham 74 and Terry O’Connor 75.
Judy Walsh had the best ladies’ score with nett 72 from June Ayres on 78.
Nearest the pins: 5th Terry O’Connor, 7th Geoff Norton, 10th Mike Smith and 14th John Bertram.
The Nutrien ball on the 11th went to Rodney Edge and the South West Car Care ball on the 13th to Barry Book.
This Saturday will be stableford.
On Thursday the 12-hole Railway View Hotel chicken day was won by Peter Plozza from Mick Plozza.
