Plozza wins at Timboon

LAST Saturday 39 members competed in a stableford round for the Timboon Earthmoving Summer Cup.

The winner of the cup was Mick Plozza with 42 points on a count-back from Percy Gillin.

A grade winner was Mick Plozza with 42 points from Wes Hollick and Hamish Huffadine both with 40 points.

The B grade winner was Barry Percy Gillin with 42 points from Finn Castledine with 40 points and Terry O’Connor with 38.

Debbie Norton tabled the best ladies’ score with 40 points.

Lynne Newton with 38 points and June Ayres with 35 were next.

Nearest the pins: 5th Tori Ziegelaar, 7th Percy Gillin, 10th Donna Weller and 14th Wes Hollick.

Hamish Huffadine won the Nutrien ball for his second shot to the 11th and Darryl Neal won the South West Car Care Ball for his second shot to the 13th.

On Thursday the 12 holes Kazza’s Railway View Chicken Day was won by Terry O’Connor with 30 points from Peter Plozza with 27.

Nearest the pin was Luke Smith.

Next Saturday will be 4BBB stableford for the first round of the Ethnic Cup.

Winner - Debbie Norton (19) 39 points from runner-up Linda McKenzie (22) 37 points.

Ball down the line were Judy Walsh (10) 36 points and nearest the pins - 10th (second shot) Lynne Newton, Nutrien 13th - June Ayres.
