PORT Campbell’s Town Centre Project has continued to progress throughout the month.

Contractors have been busy constructing the retaining walls for the new lawn amphitheatre and garden beds on the foreshore area.

Fencing will remain up for two weeks to allow for the establishment of lawn areas and temporary walking tracks and picnic pads to enable the use of the area over the summer season.

Corangamite Shire’s independent arborist is providing additional advice on the Norfolk Pines and will provide guidance on how to install the deck footing and any required pruning to lift the bottom of the canopy.

Minor trimming will be performed before the summer break and a further assessment of the health of the trees will be conducted in February 2024.

Work has begun on the Tregea and Morris Street corner with initial kerb and channel removal undertaken.

The old road surface will be removed with new kerb and channel to then be laid.

Works will pause for the summer period over December and January and resume in February.
