KOLORA Noorat now sits second on the Warrnambool District ladder following a convincing round five win over Timboon last weekend.

In wintry conditions on Saturday, the Power put on a strong performance in front of a home crowd, making the most of their opportunities with the ball and limiting the Demons on the scoreboard.

The home side got an early jump on the visitors, kicking 4.6 in the first half while restricting the visitors to just 1.1.

The second half saw the Power put the foot down, adding seven majors while keeping the Demons scoreless for the half.

Final scores were Kolora Noorat 11.12.78 to Timboon 1.1.7.

Joel Dillon, Jarrod Evans, Fred Beasley, Ed Lee, Thomas Henderson and Scott Judd were named best for Kolora Noorat.

Lucas Boyd kicked three majors for the side, while Declan Barbary and Scott Judd both added two.

Goals also went to Paddy Baker, Luke Tebble, Sam Uwland and Darcy Vick.

The reserves also enjoyed a big win over the Demons, 11.15.81 to 2.2.14.

The home side came out of the blocks early, booting 4.5 in the first quarter while keeping the Demons to one behind.

This set the pattern for the remainder of the day, with the Power working hard to consistently put the ball forward.

Best for the victors were Tyler Beasley, Joshua Freeman, FionnNeeson, Trent Glennen, Paul McSween and Jesse Sorgivoanni.

Sorgivoanni scored three goals for the game and was well supported by Dale Evans with two and singles from Jehrin Bateman, George Beasley, Tyler Beasley, Nathan Glennen, Marc Guy and Ethan Wyss.

Earlier in the day, Kolora Noorat’s under 18s enjoyed a 15-point win over the Demons, 7.8.50 to 5.5.35.

Best for the Power were Jack Vaughan, Luke Kavenagh, Eitan Brooks, Ben Carlin, Ethan Wyss and Ted Kenna.

Goals went to Jack Vaughan (3), Ted Kenna (2), Luke Kavenagh and Tarkyn Love.

The Power also enjoyed great success on the netball courts, winning five of the six games played.

A grade –Kolora Noorat defeated Timboon 59-34.

A reserve – Kolora Noorat defeated Timboon 40-38.

B grade – Kolora Noorat defeated Timboon 36-21.

17 and under – Kolora Noorat defeated Timboon 37-29.

15 and under – Timboon defeated Kolora Noorat 23-19.

13 and under – Kolora Noorat defeated Timboon 17-7.
