KOLORA Noorat remains in the hunt for a top five position on the Warrnambool District League ladder despite currently sitting seventh.

With seven rounds of the home and away season remaining, only percentage separates fifth from seventh, with Dennington (fifth), Panmure and Kolora Noorat all on four wins to date.

The trio are four games behind the fourth-placed Russells Creek but all will be eager to sneak into the five and make an impression on the ladder leaders come finals.

Round 11 last weekend saw the Power host the second-placed Allansford Cats who have dropped just one game to date.

The Cats proved too strong on the day, taking home a 39-point win, 14.13.97 to 9.4.58.

Best for the Power were Jarrod Evans, Jack Aitken, Jack Carlin, Charlie Scanlon, Caleb Kavanagh and Trent Glennen.

Justin Wallace kicked three goals for the side and Jesse Sorgiovanni added two while Eitan Brooks, Glennen, Kavanagh and Mitchell Wyss kicked one apiece.

In the reserves, the Power fell just five points short of win number four for the season, going down to the Cats 4.8.32 to 5.7.37.

Best for the side were Remington Clarke, Alexander Kenna, Tyler Friswell, Harry Stuart and Craig King.

King booted two goals for the day while Jacob Kenna and Paul Messer added one each.

The Powers’ under 18s also had a narrow loss, with Allansford taking a seven-point win, 6.7.43 to 5.6.36.

Among the best players were Taj Podger, Ben Carlin, Ted Kenna, Oscar Ritchie, Jack Smerdon and Max Kavanagh.

Ritchie kicked three goals while Connor Krizmancic and Patrick Spokes each contributed one.

Kolora Noorat’s A grade netballers remain in the top five after going down to the third-placed Cats in a close encounter, 28-25.

Other results from the courts:

A reserve – Allansford defeated Kolora Noorat 44-17.

B grade – Allansford defeated Kolora Noorat 35-18.

17 and under – Allansford defeated Kolora Noorat 30-27.

15 and under – Allansford defeated Kolora Noorat 34-17.

13 and under – Allansford defeated Kolora Noorat 29-19.
