A NARROW win over Panmure last weekend sees Kolora Noorat sitting in the top five of Warrnambool District League.

With three wins on the board, Power currently sits fifth, a game clear of Dennington, leading into this weekend’s fifth round.

Travelling to Panmure last weekend, the Power found themselves down by eight points after the opening term.

They regrouped for the second and added five majors to the scoreboard while containing the home side to just two, which resulted in a 10-point lead at the main break.

With both sides applying strong pressure all over the ground, and tussling to make in-rounds on the scoreboard, the lead changed again by three-quarter time, with Panmure ahead by four points heading into the final term.

A last quarter burst by the Power saw them add six goals to their tally while containing the home side to four majors.

Final scores were Kolora Noorat 16.13.109 to Panmure 15.10.100.

Best players for the Power among a solid team effort were Ethan Wyss, Jack Vaughan, Nick Marshall, George Beasley, Aaron Robertson and Mitchell Wyss.

Jack Vaughan was solid in front of goals, kicking five for the day, while Justin Wallace added four.

Other goals went to Louis Cahill (3), George Beasley and Caleb Kavanagh (two each).

Earlier in the day, Kolora Noorat’s reserves went down to Panmure by four points, 8.2.50 to 7.12.54.

Best for the Power were Tyler Beasley, Isaiah Bird, Daniel Carr, Zachary Klippel, Rhys Scott and Kevan Conlon.

Goals went to Riley Scanlon (2), Tyler Beasley, Lucas Castersen, Nathan Glennen, Ryan Harvey, Jacob Kenna and Arthur O’Neill.

Kolora Noorat had a strong day out on the netball courts, winning five of six games played.

A grade – Kolora Noorat defeated Panmure 57-39.

A reserve – Kolora Noorat defeated Panmure 31-25.

B grade – Kolora Noorat defeated Panmure 47-18.

17 and under – Kolora Noorat defeated Panmure 44-19.

15 and under – Panmure defeated Kolora Noorat 32-22.

13 and under – Kolora Noorat defeated Panmure 25-15.

This weekend will see Kolora Noorat at home to the Timboon Demons.
