With just six rounds of the home and away season remaining, the seventh-placed Power remains in contention for a finals appearance, sitting on equal points with the fifth-placed Dennington and Panmure in sixth.

Last weekend’s clash against Old Collegians, who previously had just two wins on the board, proved a great spectacle for crowds at Davison Oval thanks to the inclusion of former AFL great Matthew Lloyd.

Lloyd, a five-time All-Australian player, pulled on the boots and joined Old Collegians as part of this year’s ‘The Carlton Draft’ program.

Spurred on by their famous team-mate for the day, Old Collegians held on to a slim two-point lead at the end of the opening quarter.

This was extended to 12 points by the main break but a low-scoring second half saw both sides add just two majors to the scoreboard for the remainder of the game.

Final scores Old Collegians 6.8.44 defeated Kolora Noorat 4.8.32.

Best for the Power were Stephen O’Connor, Jarrod Evans, Aaron Robertson, Jack Aitken, Louis Cahill and Nelson Anders.

Eitan Brooks, Sam Uwland, Jack Vaughan and Justin Wallace each contributed a goal.

Kolora Noorat’s reserves chalked up win number four, defeating Old Collegians by nine points, 7.0.42 to 5.3.33.

Best for the side were Paul McSween, Tom Godber, Jack Pekin, Tyler Beasley and Remington Clarke.

Riley Scanlon converted in front of goals, kicking three for the day, while Daniel Carr, Tom Godber, Fraser Guthrie and Arthur O’Neill kicked one each.

The Power’s 18s sit fifth after a nine-point win last weekend, 9.4.58 to 7.7.49.

Among the best were Riley Kelly, Oscar Ritchie, Ben Carlin, Taj Podger, Ted Kenna and Max Kavanagh.

Kelly kicked three for the day while Ritchie added two and Damon Andres, Nathan Gee, Ted Kenna and Jack Smerdon each contributed a goal.

Kolora Noorat’s A grade netballers had a great win over Old Collegians, 45-18 and sees them fourth on the league ladder, two games clear of Dennington in fifth.

In the A reserve match, the Power went down to Old Collegians 24-52 while in B grade they lost by two goals, 21-23.
