The Pelicans defeated Cobden by six wickets in last Sunday’s grand final at Camperdown’s Lakes Complex, with Wilba Cheeseman named player of the match after a knock of 41 runs and finishing the day with figures of 1/18 off his six overs.
Cheeseman was well supported on the scoreboard by team-mate Myles Sinnott who contributed 44 and Daniel Fowler with an unbeaten 18 runs.
Ned Molan had a great day out with the ball, taking 3/11 off his four overs.
The Pelicans restricted the Knights to 4/124 from their 35 overs and then chased down the total in 32 overs to win the club’s first junior flag since season 2018/19.
