KOLORA Noorat’s under 18s are 2022 premiers.

The Power put on a strong show in front of a large crowd at Warrnambool’s Reid Oval last Saturday, defeating Russells Creek by 61 points.

Coaches Phil Beasley and Nick Marshall praised the side for maintaining intensity and playing well as a team.

“It was great to finally get the whole side together,” Beasley said.

“It’s been one of those up and down years in terms of player availability so we’ve been lucky that we’ve had several under 15s who have been happy to step up and play when we’ve been short.

“We’re grateful to all those who filled in during the year and played their roles well. It holds the club in good stead for the future; not only in terms of those younger players but also some of our top age juniors who also had the chance to play senior footy this season.”

Beasley said all 21 in the under 18s put in 110 per cent last weekend, and each contributed to the win.

“Everyone played really well and we (Nick and I) could not have been prouder,” he said.

With three goals under his belt, and a strong game at half forward flank, on-baller Fred Beasley was named best on ground.

Final scores were Kolora Noorat 15.18.108 to Russells Creek 7.5.47.

Best for the Power were Fred Beasley, Jack Vaughan, Caleb Kavanagh, Jack Carlin, Oscar Curran and Jacan Brooks.

Goals went to Fred Beasley (3), Jacan Brooks (3), Caleb Kavanagh (2), Ted Kenna (2), Nicholas Casterson, Oscar Curran, Jack Vaughan, Darcy Vick and Ethan Wyss.

Beasley and Marshall have confirmed they will again coach the Power’s under 18s next season.

“It’s a great club to be around and we have both really enjoyed our year; we’re already looking forward to what season 2023 may bring,” Beasley said.
