Cars, live music and raffles will be on offer at the annual Prison Break Weekend held at Camp Cooriemungle later this year after a number of years hiatus.

Local group, the Guzzlers Car Club, are again hosting the family friendly event.

Club president Anthony ‘Claude’ Love said he is looking forward to the popular event.

“We’re calling for people to keep the day free,” he said.

“We’re excited to be back again after COVID.”

Mr Love said this year the Show and Shine would have an expanded format.

“It’s a ‘show us your toys’ day – if it’s got a motor in it, we want to see it,” he said.

“We’ve got two bands this year – The Gin Divers and Eddy and The Exciters.

“We’re doing the Rockabilly Dress Up again.”

Mr Love said there will be some kids activities there as well as food vendors to keep attendees fed.

“There will be one large raffle and then the rest of the items will be auctioned off,”he said.

“Proceeds will go to Foodshare.”

Tickets for the Prison Break Weekend are $5 per person or $15 per family.

A small amount of on-site accommodation is available as well as camping at Camp Cooriemungle, for information contact the camp on 5598 7254.
