Rail trail bridge works to start
USERS of the Camperdown-Timboon Rail Trail will temporarily be unable to access a section of the popular trail.

USERS of the Camperdown-Timboon Rail Trail will temporarily be unable to access a section of the popular trail.
Camperdown-Timboon Rail Trail Committee chair Pat Robertson said the section between Merretts Road and the Trestle Bridge will be closed on Monday, May 9 as well as for about three weeks between May 25 and June 17.
“We’re replacing the first two bridges from Merretts Road,” she said.
“We have five bridges that need urgent replacement and are not suitable for use."
“We have funding for two of them. We’re seeking funding for the other three bridges.”
Mrs Robertson said the extended closure could be longer dependant on the weather.
She said the committee was hopeful of securing funding to ensure the remaining three bridges could be replaced.
“The other three bridges are shovel ready; it’s only a matter of trying to get funding,” Mrs Robertson said.
