USERS of the Camperdown-Timboon Rail Trail will temporarily be unable to access a section of the popular trail.

Camperdown-Timboon Rail Trail Committee chair Pat Robertson said the section between Merretts Road and the Trestle Bridge will be closed from Monday, September 19 for about six weeks.

“We’re replacing the first two bridges from Merretts Road,” she said.

“We’re quite excited we are finally getting some work done on these bridges.

“There is still the other three to be done.”

Mrs Robertson said five bridges needed urgent works.

“We have put in grant applications with the help of the shire and DELWP,” she said.

“We are waiting on the outcome of those.”
