RAIN gauges were busy throughout October, with heavy rainfall experienced across much of the district.
After three months of only reaching the 40mm mark, October was a return to an average month for rainfall.
Across October, 74.8mm of rain hit the ground slightly below the long-term average of 79.3mm.
To date this year, a total of 663mm of rain has hit the ground over Cobden, well below the figure for the same time last year at 854.8mm.
The wettest day of the month was October 13, which saw 14mm of rain falling.
