THE Warrnambool line was one of the highest performing lines on the network during August, with 100 per cent of scheduled services running as trains for the entire journey.

THE Warrnambool line was one of the highest performing lines on the network during August, with 100 per cent of scheduled services running as trains for the entire journey.

The August result was an increase of almost eight percentage points compared with the previous month and exceeds the reliability target of 96 per cent.

Throughout the month of August, 96.3 per cent of trains arrived at their destination on time, which was the highest punctuality result on the line since August last year.

The August punctuality result was also an improvement on the previous month, jumping around six percentage points compared with 90.5 per cent the previous month, and also achieves the 92 per cent punctuality target.

Of the 223 services which were scheduled to run on the line last month, only eight services were delayed.

A V/Line spokesperson said the performance was among the strongest across the network.

“Providing passengers along the Warrnambool line with safe and reliable train services continues to be our focus so we’re thrilled to achieve such strong results in the latest performance figures,” thespokesperson said.
