BATHED in sunshine, the Terang Recreation Reserve provided the perfect setting for Terang College’s annual house athletics sports last Monday.

BATHED in sunshine, the Terang Recreation Reserve provided the perfect setting for Terang College’s annual house athletics sports last Monday.
After a night of rain, the sun was out and the students from prep to year 12 were eager for a great day both on and off the track.
A massive 24 school records were broken from the students in years 7-12 while the juniors enjoyed a range of events including high jump, long jump, triple jump, hurdles, discus, sprints and shot put.
Competitors displayed fantastic energy and determination in all their individual events and demonstrated incredible sportsmanship, cheering on their fellow competitors throughout the day.
Congratulations to Keayang for taking out the P4 Champion House Trophy for 2023.
It was a tight competition for the 5-12 Champion House trophy between Keilambete and Dalvui.
Unfortunately for the Keilambete Crocs, Dalvui walked away with the champion house shield for the fourth consecutive year.
Several students broke multiple records on the day, however, standout performances came from 17 year-old Tyler Vickers who broke four track records, 14 year-old Tayte McMaster with three records, and the Bell sisters, Tayla and Jessica, who broke three each
Terang College will now send a team of 40 students from years 7-12 students to compete at the HSSSD Athletics carnival in Camperdown on March 27 and a team of 30 to represent the school at the primary district athletics on Tuesday, April 4.
Many thanks to the staff and volunteers who assist with the many jobs required to make this a successful, fun day for all.
