Rhys shines at state level
COBDEN Technical School student Rhys Sargood has recorded two personal best performances at the School Sport Victoria state athletics championships.
Cobden’s Rhys Sargood finished in the top 10 of all three events he entered at the recent state athletics championships.
Rhys competed in three events at the Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park, recently.
He finished seventh in the 100m event, setting a new PB of 12.34, and seventh in the 200m with a PB of 25.14 (which also broke the existing Cobden record time).
His third event, the high jump, saw Rhys record 1.65 metres, resulting in a sixth placing.
