Rix wins at Cobden
TWENTY-nine players contested the privilege pot/stableford round at the Cobden Golf Club last Saturday.
S. Rix finished on 39 points to take A grade from runner-up H. Green on 38, on countback from A. Giles on 38.
Balls down the line went to A. Giles, D. Bath, K. Duffin, A. Stevens and B. Bourke.
B grade was won by D. Drake on 44 points from D. Jopling on 39.
Nearest the pin on the 4th went to C. Sargeant, 7th A. Giles, 10th K. Duffin, closest second on the second was D. Drake while S. Rix was closest on the 14th.
D. Drake won the pot on 44 points.
Sixteen players competed in the stroke, medal and putting competition last Wednesday.
A grade went to Dave Stewart on 71 points from runner-up Ellen Darcy on 74.
B grade went to Marie Smith 71 from Jo Hintum 76.
The monthly medal winner was Marie Smith on 71 points.
Putting winners were Ellen Darcy and Jo Hintum both with 33 putts.
Nearest the pin: 4th Sherine Healey, Judy Myers and Kate Parlour; 10th Ellen Darcy, Jeannine White and Nety Hose.
Nearest on the 7th was Sherine Healey and second shot in A grade went to Sherine Healey and C grade, Jo Hintum.
Balls down the line: Carmen Darcy (74) and Janine Stevens (77).
Next week will be right handers versus left handers.
The Kings’ Birthday stableford competition on Monday drew 26 players.
J. Kerr won A grade on 37 points from D. Oakley 37 on countback.
B grade went to D. Lamb on 41 points from H. Rix on 39.
