Rotarians host Geelong Probus
THREE Camperdown Rotary Club members acted as guides for a visiting contingent of Geelong Probus Club members recently.

A bus of 23 Geelong Probus members visited Camperdown last Tuesday, with Rotarians Graeme Fischer and Jan and Norman MacDonald guiding the group through the town.
Mr Fischer said the group arrived at 10.10am that morning and had morning tea at The Farmhouse @ 153.
“We then visited the Benedictine Abbey where Sister Raphael generously showed us the abbey and described its history,” he said.
“We then went up Mount Leura and saw the amazing view.
“We then had the opportunity to look inside the Mount Leura building and the bottom shelter.
“Thank you to the Friends of Mount Leura for your hospitality.
“Seeing the Tawny Frogmouths was a highlight.”
Mr Fischer said the weather was “invigorating” during the visit, with a lunch stop made at Excuse Me Katie’s.
“We then drove up to the Botanical Gardens, and back into town, we looked at the Robbie Burns statue before departing at 3pm,” he said.
“Other Probus groups should consider visiting Camperdown and having a great day out.
“I am sure some of last Tuesday’s visitors will return to look at the op shops, the Little Pharmacy and Shoe Shop, our clothing shops and one of our markets.”
